As the number of third-party timeshare exit company scams steadily increases, numerous companies are fighting on behalf of timeshare owners.

Diamond Resorts®, a well-known hospitality and vacation ownership group, has filed various lawsuits against fraudulent timeshare exit companies in hopes that these companies will stop taking advantage of unsuspecting timeshare owners. The timeshare company has been awarded injunctions against Exchange Points, PR Rewards, VMG Resorts, Kyle Brown and Vacation Management in Missouri and Castle Law Group in Tennessee.

The most recent lawsuit filed by Diamond Resorts® listed Newton Group as the defendant in the case. The lawsuit accuses the company of false advertising by suggesting they are unable to follow through on their promises to consumers to exit their timeshare.

Mike Flaskey, Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Resorts®, emphasized the company's position on the lawsuit stating, "We will continue to do everything in our power to combat deceitful timeshare exit companies that prey on our members."

Most of these fraudulent timeshare exit companies target timeshare owners looking to sell their property, charging them large upfront fees for minimal service. Timeshare owners looking to sell their property should contact their respective resort first before working with a third-party exit company.
